Frequently Asked Questions
There is no such thing as a "dumb question." We are delighted you are taking time to visit our website and getting to know us a little better. We would certainly love the opportunity to meet you in person, but we realize you may have questions about First Baptist Church before arriving to our campus. We hope you find all of your questions answered below. If you still have questions after reading the ones below, feel free to submit your questions HERE.
Q: Where should I go when I arrive at First Baptist Church?
A: Guests should enter our building near the corner of Willingham and Anglin. This area is known as "The Atrium." Here you will find our Mission Cafe. We'll treat you to a fresh, hot cup of coffee (or tea) and show you to your classroom.
Q: What time are your Sunday morning services?
A: We have Bible Study Groups for all ages every Sunday at 9:15am. Our Celebration Worship begins at 10:30am every Sunday.
Q: What type of music do you have in your worship service?
A: Our musical style is more modern, but we still utilize a wide variety of sources such as hymns, praise choruses, and contemporary praise and worship songs you hear on the radio.
Q: Do I have to dress a certain way to attend worship at FBCC?
A: No. We want you to feel free to come to First Baptist Church just the way you are. We are more concerned about meeting your needs than what you wear. You can dress up or down, what matters is that you come ready to worship God.
Q: How do I get plugged-in to a Sunday School class?
A: We have Bible study classes for all ages and stages of life. You simply need to find a class that matches your age or stage in life, or a class that interests you, and attend any Sunday morning. You can CLICK HERE to get a complete list of Sunday morning Bible study classes and their location. You can visit our Atrium (near the Children's Ministry Area and Mission Cafe) and someone will be happy to show you to your class.
Q: Is there childcare provided during the worship service?
A: First Baptist Church provides preschool childcare for children age 4 and younger so parents can experience a meaningful time of worship. We ask parents to keep preschoolers age 5 and older with them during the worship service so they can experience and learn about worshipping God from watching you and those around you.
Q: Are there mid-week activities at FBCC?
A: Yes. We offer classes and activities for everyone in your family. You can CLICK HERE to see a full list of mid-week activities.
Q: How can I submit a prayer request?
A: You can submit prayer requests HERE. We will keep your prayer request confidential unless you give us permission to publish them on our prayer list. All prayer requests are shared with our ministerial staff unless you request otherwise.
